What We’re All About
Our number one goal here at Smarty Pants is to provide children with a start to early education that will foster a passion for learning that will last for a lifetime. We provide a safe and secure learning environment that allows children to strive emotionally and academically. We understand that each child has unique needs and interests and strive to nurture their individuality. Our curriculum based lesson plans ensure your child is equipped with the tools needed to thrive.
When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave Smarty Pants Learning Centers, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.

Preschool Room
In our preschool program, we focus on building a strong foundation for learning through play-based activities. Our curriculum includes literacy, math, science, and social studies concepts, and is designed to prepare your child for success in kindergarten and beyond. Children have the opportunity to plant and grow flowers, fruits and vegetables.

Our School Age program is designed to support children's learning, development, and engagement in a safe and enriching environment outside of regular school hours, such as before or after school, during holidays, and sometimes during school breaks.
HOW IT STARTED
Welcome to Smarty Pants Learning Centers, Inc.
Hello and welcome! My name is Deia Bailey, a proud native of Cleveland, Ohio. Growing up in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood, I saw firsthand the challenges many families and children face every day. Even as a young girl, I knew I wanted to make a difference — to become an advocate for children and help create brighter futures for families within the community.
Along with my sister, Marleese Chapman, we founded Smarty Pants Learning Centers, Inc. with one mission in mind: to provide children — from 6 weeks to 12 years old — with a safe, nurturing, and high-quality learning environment where they can grow, explore, and thrive.
As the years went on, we realized that supporting children means supporting their families too. Many parents needed more than childcare — they needed access to resources that could help them create stable, healthy homes. That’s when Smarty Pants began to grow beyond a learning center and evolve into a community resource hub.
